2. Information stored in your browser
The timer is designed to work without an account. It uses browser local storage to keep limited information on your device:
- Your light or dark theme preference.
- Completed-session history, including workout date, duration, rounds, workout time, and rest time.
- Summary values used for weekly goals, recent routines, and lifetime progress.
This workout information is read by scripts running in your browser and is not intentionally submitted to Free Workout Timer. It does not automatically sync between devices. You can delete it by clearing site data for freeworkouttimer.com in your browser. Private or incognito browsing may remove it automatically when the session ends.
3. Browser permissions and device features
When enabled by you, the website may use browser-provided speech synthesis to announce phases and the Screen Wake Lock API to keep a supported display awake during a workout. These features are controlled by your browser and device. Free Workout Timer does not record your microphone, voice, camera, location, contacts, or health sensors.
4. Information you send to us
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, name, message, attachments, and any technical details you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, investigate issues, protect the service, and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send sensitive medical, financial, identity, or authentication information.
5. Technical and hosting data
Like most websites, our hosting and network providers may automatically process technical request data such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, timestamps, referrer, and security events. This information may be needed to deliver the website, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain security. Provider retention practices may differ from ours.

8. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell browser-local workout history. Personal information may be processed by service providers that host, secure, or support the website and email service. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, lawful process, or a competent authority, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
9. Retention
Browser-local workout history remains on your device until you or the browser deletes it. Email correspondence and related records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, or business purposes. Technical logs are retained according to the relevant hosting or infrastructure provider’s practices.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to a small browser-based service, but no website, email system, or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for controlling access to your device and browser profile, especially on a shared computer.
11. Children
The website is a general fitness timing tool and is not specifically directed to children. If you are under 18, use the service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian and do not send us personal information without their permission.
12. Your choices and rights
You can disable voice coaching or sound cues, clear local browser data, stop using the service, or ask questions about information you sent to us. Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where applicable, you may have rights to request access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, or withdrawal of consent.
To make a privacy request, email hello@freeworkouttimer.com. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request. We cannot retrieve workout history that never left your browser.

The website may be accessed from outside India. Your browser and our service providers may process data in different countries. Applicable safeguards and legal requirements depend on the service provider, location, and nature of processing.
